Aiden policy

Your Data Rights

Effective Date: October 27, 2026

Aiden, Aid in Autistic Adult Living, is operated by West Wind Storm LLC.

Aiden is designed to give users meaningful control over information associated with their accounts.

Available controls may change as Aiden continues developing.

This page explains the choices currently available and how to request assistance when a control is not yet available directly inside the app.

Temporary Copies and Deletion Limits

Unsaved changes can remain only in the current page while offline. A private revision-conflict recovery copy, if created, expires after seven days and is removed when Aiden next checks that browser.

Account deletion does not erase files you downloaded, clipboard contents, messages you already shared, or outside AI-provider retention. Browser storage cannot be cleared remotely while a device is offline or closed. You can clear this browser through Your Data, subject to browser storage permissions.

Backups may continue to contain deleted information until their retention period ends. The exact hosting plan and backup retention period require confirmation by the owner; Aiden does not promise immediate erasure from backups.

Your Information

Depending on the features you use, Aiden may store information such as:

Account information.

Preferences and settings.

Check-ins.

Communication content.

Medication information.

Health-related notes.

Body Map information.

Sensory information.

Helping Hands requests.

Working Differently information.

Resource-related information you save.

Other information you intentionally enter into Aiden.

Accessing Your Information

Where Aiden provides a direct way to view stored information, you may access that information through the appropriate feature.

If you need help understanding what personal information is associated with your account, you may contact West Wind Storm LLC.

We may need to verify that the request comes from the account owner before providing account information.

Correcting Information

Where Aiden allows information to be edited, you may correct or update it directly.

If information cannot currently be corrected through the app, you may contact West Wind Storm LLC for assistance.

Deleting Individual Information

Where an Aiden feature provides a delete option, you may use that option to remove information from that feature.

Some types of stored information may require deleting the Aiden account rather than using an individual delete control.

If a delete control is unavailable, you may contact West Wind Storm LLC for assistance.

Account Deletion

Users can delete their Aiden account and saved information in Settings → Your Data or at /delete-account. Deletion requires sign-in and a clear confirmation, without a reason or an email request.

Confirmed deletion removes active account content, contact details, AI usage records, agreement records, and any explicit earlier-account connection. It also requests deletion of the Aiden email sign-in from Firebase. If identity deletion is unavailable, Aiden closes access, explains that sign-in removal is incomplete, and lets the user retry. Old sessions cannot save deleted information back. A separate account used for Aiden’s earlier sign-in is not deleted.

Aiden attempts to clear this browser and signs out. Current Aiden versions on other devices lose server access and clear their copies when they reconnect or reopen. Offline devices, older running versions, downloaded files, and information shared with other people cannot be remotely erased by Aiden.

A minimal security record containing a one-way account identifier, an account generation, deletion state, and a timestamp remains to prevent old sessions restoring deleted data. It contains no email address, name, health information, messages, or saved app content. A fresh account requires an explicit new setup; deleted information is not restored.

Some limited information may need to remain temporarily in backups, security records, transaction records, or other records where retention is reasonably necessary or legally required.

Account deletion should not be described as instantaneous if technical systems require time to complete deletion across backups or service providers.

Data Export

Where an export feature is available, users may use it to obtain supported information.

If direct export is not currently available, do not display an inactive or misleading export control as though the feature works.

Users may contact West Wind Storm LLC with questions about available data access options.

Sharing Controls

Where Aiden allows information to be shared with another person, the user should be able to understand what is being shared and who will receive it.

Creating information in Aiden does not automatically mean it is public.

Sharing permissions should not be broader than necessary for the feature the user chooses to use.

AI Permissions

Optional AI-powered features should not require users to surrender access to unrelated non-AI Aiden features.

Where an AI feature requires information to be sent to an outside AI service provider, Aiden should provide appropriate notice before that processing occurs.

Withdrawing Optional Permissions

Where Aiden provides an optional permission or consent control, users should be able to change that choice when technically and legally appropriate.

Changing a future preference may not reverse processing that already occurred before the preference was changed.

Verification of Requests

West Wind Storm LLC may need to verify a person's identity or account ownership before completing a request involving access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information.

Verification should request only information reasonably necessary to confirm the request.

Requests and Questions

Questions or requests concerning personal information may be sent to:

West Wind Storm LLC

westwindstormco@gmail.com

When making a request, users should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information by email.

West Wind Storm LLC may ask for additional information when reasonably necessary to verify the account or understand the request.
