Aiden policy
Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: October 5, 2026
Aiden, Aid in Autistic Adult Living, is operated by West Wind Storm LLC.
Aiden is being designed with autistic and disabled adults in mind.
Accessibility is an ongoing part of Aiden's development.
Our Accessibility Goal
Our goal is to make Aiden understandable, usable, and adaptable for people with different sensory, communication, cognitive, visual, motor, and interaction needs.
Accessibility needs vary from person to person.
A feature that helps one user may not help another.
Aiden should provide user choice where reasonably possible.
Areas We Consider
Aiden's accessibility work may include consideration of:
Clear language.
Reduced visual complexity.
Readable text.
Mobile usability.
Alternative communication.
Sensory preferences.
Lower-stimulation display options.
Simple navigation.
Reduced cognitive load.
Touch-friendly controls.
User-controlled settings.
Different interaction styles.
Communication Accessibility
Aiden includes or may include tools intended to help users communicate when speaking is difficult, unavailable, or stressful.
Communication difficulty should not be treated as lack of understanding.
Users should be able to use communication supports without being treated as less capable or less adult.
Sensory Accessibility
Aiden may include features intended to reduce or change sensory demand.
These may include display preferences, sensory modes, personalized sensory tools, or simplified interfaces.
Not every sensory feature will work for every person.
Users should be able to choose the options that help them.
Cognitive Accessibility
Aiden may use:
Simple wording.
Shorter instructions.
Microtasks.
Clear organization.
Reduced screen complexity.
Predictable navigation.
These features are intended to reduce unnecessary cognitive demand.
Motor and Touch Accessibility
Aiden should aim to use controls that are reasonably usable on supported mobile and desktop devices.
Buttons, touch targets, scrolling, dragging, and other interactions should continue to be tested for usability.
Ongoing Accessibility Improvements
Aiden is under active development.
Some accessibility features may be incomplete, experimental, or improved over time.
Aiden should not claim that every feature is accessible to every person.
Accessibility problems should be treated as product issues worth investigating.
Reporting an Accessibility Barrier
If you encounter an accessibility problem, you may report it to:
West Wind Storm LLC
Helpful information may include:
The page or feature you were using.
What you were trying to do.
What made the feature difficult or inaccessible.
The device or browser you were using.
A screenshot, if available and comfortable to share.
You do not need to know the technical solution.
Describing what happened is enough to begin investigating the problem.
Continued Improvement
Accessibility needs and technology change.
West Wind Storm LLC intends to continue improving Aiden's accessibility as the service develops.
This statement may be updated as Aiden changes.
